Official Rules for Meshbody Giveaway

​1. ELIGIBILITY

The Meshbody Giveaway (“Giveaway”) is open to individuals who:

• Are 18 years of age or older as of April 3, 2025.

• Have a valid Second Life account and abide by Linden Lab's TOS agreement.

• Are not employees, contractors, or immediate family members (spouse, parent, sibling, child, or household member) of Meshbody, its affiliates, or subsidiaries.

• Have a Second Life account at least 3 months old by April 3, 2025, if entering without a Legacy Body.

Limit one (1) entry per person, per household, and per IP address. Use of alternate (“alt”) accounts, multiple accounts, or any attempt to circumvent entry limits will result in disqualification. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.

​2. ENTRY PERIOD

​

The Meshbody Giveaway (“Giveaway”) entry window is open from April 3, 2025, at 12:00 PM Second Life Time (SLT) to April 23, 2025, at 11:59 PM SLT (“Entry Period”). Participants must enter during this period to be eligible. Upon entry, participants must begin tracking their daily logins for 20 consecutive days, with all tracking completed by May 12, 2025, at 11:59 PM SLT. Entries after April 23, 2025, will not be accepted, as this is the last day to start tracking and still meet the 20-day requirement. Winners will be selected and announced on May 13, 2025.

​3. HOW TO ENTER

No purchase necessary to enter or win. A purchase does not increase your chances of winning. There are two entry methods based on Legacy Body ownership:

OPTION A: FOR PARTICIPANTS WHO OWN A LEGACY BODY

• Visit the Meshbody or The Shops regions in Second Life starting April 3, 2025, to obtain a Giveaway Tracker Object.

• Log in to Second Life daily wearing your Legacy Body and the Giveaway Tracker Object for 20 consecutive days.

• The tracker will announce your progress in local chat upon login each day.

• If a day is missed, your progress resets to Day 1. Days are counted per SLT.

• The last day to begin a tracking streak is April 23, 2025. Missing a day after April 23, 2025, results in ineligibility.

• Final tracking day is May 12, 2025.

• On May 13, 2025, all accounts completing 20 consecutive days will be entered into a random drawing.

OPTION B: FOR PARTICIPANTS WHO DO NOT OWN A LEGACY BODY

• Do not purchase a Legacy Body to enter; no purchase is required.

• Visit the Meshbody or The Shops region in Second Life starting April 3, 2025

• Pick up Giveaway Tracker Object and wear throughout giveaway.

• Click the Entry Board daily for 20 consecutive days. The Entry Board will automatically track progress by account.

• If a day is missed, your progress resets to Day 1. Days are counted per SLT.

• The last day to begin a tracking streak is April 23, 2025. Missing a day after April 23, 2025, results in ineligibility.

• Final tracking day is May 12, 2025.

• On May 13, 2025, all accounts completing 20 consecutive days will be entered into a random drawing.

4. PRIZES

​

• Grand Prize (1 winner): Choice of:
  a. A luxury wellness resort trip for two (all expenses paid, up to $6,000 USD value); or
  b. 1,500,000 Linden Dollars (L$).
  Plus lifetime Meshbody body access and updates (non-transferable).

​

• Second Prize (1 winner): Choice of:
  a. A luxury self-care box valued at $1,000 USD; or
  b. 250,000 Linden Dollars (L$).
  Plus lifetime Meshbody body access and updates (non-transferable).

​

• Third Prize (1 winner): 50,000 Linden Dollars (L$), Lifetime Meshbody body access and updates (non-transferable).

​

Total approximate retail value (ARV) of all prizes ranges from $1,000 to $6,000 USD, depending on winner selections, excluding Linden Dollar prizes, which have no cash value.

5. WINNER SELECTION & NOTIFICATION

​

• Winners will be selected on May 13, 2025, via a random drawing conducted using a third-party randomizer from all eligible entries.

• Winners will be announced publicly in Second Life and notified in-world and/or via socials on May 13, 2025.

• Winners must respond within 72 hours of notification to claim their prize, or an alternate winner will be selected.

• Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

6. PRIZE CONDITIONS

​

• Travel Prize: Subject to availability, destination restrictions, blackout dates, and applicable health, safety, or travel guidelines (e.g., visas, vaccinations). Includes airfare, accommodations, and select expenses up to $6,000 USD. Any costs exceeding this amount are the winner’s responsibility. This prize cannot be exchanged for USD or other currencies. If the Grand Prize winner selects the travel option, all bookings and transportation will be coordinated through a licensed and insured third-party travel agent. Meshbody is not responsible for any travel-related issues outside of the arrangements made through this agent, including but not limited to personal delays, cancellations, documentation requirements, or additional costs exceeding the prize value.

• Linden Dollars: Transferred to the winner’s Second Life account. Meshbody is not responsible for Linden Dollar value fluctuations or usage after transfer. Linden Dollars have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for USD or other currencies by Meshbody.

• Body Access and Updates: Lifetime Meshbody body access and updates are limited to new bodies or bodies the winner does not currently own as of the entry date. This prize does not include updates or access to any other Meshbody products beyond the specified bodies. This access is non-transferable.

• General: Prizes are non-transferable. No substitution or cash equivalent permitted, except at Meshbody’s sole discretion if a prize becomes unavailable. Meshbody reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Winners selecting real-life prizes must provide valid identification for booking or shipping purposes.

7. TAXES & LEGAL COMPLIANCE

​

• Winners are solely responsible for all federal, state, local, or international taxes, duties, or fees associated with prize acceptance.

• U.S. winners receiving a real-life prize valued over $600 USD must complete an IRS Form W-9. Meshbody will issue a 1099-MISC form as required by law.

• Non-U.S. winners must comply with their country’s tax and reporting laws.

8. PUBLICITY & CONSENT

By entering, participants grant Meshbody and its affiliates the irrevocable right to use their Second Life avatar name, likeness, and entry details for promotional purposes in any media worldwide, without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.

9. GENERAL CONDITIONS

​

• Meshbody is not responsible for lost, incomplete, or misdirected entries; technical failures; tracking errors; or any issues beyond its reasonable control.

• Meshbody reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Giveaway at any time due to fraud, technical difficulties, or unforeseen circumstances that compromise its integrity or proper administration, as determined in Meshbody’s sole discretion.

• Meshbody’s decisions regarding eligibility, rule interpretation, and winner selection are final and binding.

• Participation constitutes agreement to these Official Rules and all applicable laws.

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

By entering, participants release Meshbody, its affiliates, subsidiaries, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents (collectively, “Released Parties”) from any liability for:

• Technical failures, including hardware, software, or network issues.

• Unauthorized human intervention in the Giveaway.

• Injuries, losses, or damages arising from participation or prize acceptance/use.
  To the fullest extent permitted by law, Released Parties’ liability is limited to the ARV of the prizes offered.

11. DISPUTES

This Giveaway is governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Meshbody is headquartered, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of that state. Participants waive any right to a jury trial.
